The matter
A small engineering supplier had completed and delivered work for a contractor, but the final invoice remained unpaid for several months despite repeated reminders.
What we did
We reviewed the order, delivery notes and correspondence, sent a letter of demand setting out the amount owed and a clear deadline, and issued summons when the deadline passed.
The outcome
Shortly after summons was served, the contractor proposed a settlement. The full amount was paid with interest, without the matter going to trial.
